All of the injuries shown here do require the attention of the dentist; however, only an avulsion injury (when the tooth is knocked out completely) is a true dental emergency that requires you to be seen by the dentist IMMEDIATELY. Broken or loose teeth, are not as serious and the dentist can see you later over the next few days.
