Child’s First Exam

Having provided dental care to kids for over 15 years and now being a father to two young boys of his own, gives Dr. Tham the inside edge on making sure your child’s dental health is in tip top shape.

Want to know more about teething and how to help with the associated symptoms?

Want to know more about how and when to start brushing your child’s teeth with fluoridated toothpaste?

Want to know more about weaning your child off the baby bottle or sippy cups?

Want to know how diet plays an important factor in dental decay?

The Canadian Dental Association and BC Dental Association recommends that your child’s first visit to the dentist should occur within 6 months of their first tooth or by the age of 1.  Letting the child get familiar with the surroundings of a dental office is part of this first visit, but more time is spent with parents discussing about home care and things to watch out for.  Dr. Tham and his North Delta Dental team will answer many questions you may have, like the ones above.

Our firm belief that dental health begins at an early age has prompted us to offer this very first  examination complementary, as a way of providing education to your family to instill all the healthy habits to ensure your child’s dental health.
