This teenaged patient fell down some stairs and knocked about 6 of his front teeth loose but did not lose any. This wired splint (almost like braces) was placed to hold the teeth in place while the surrounding bone healed over a period of a couple weeks.  We managed to save his loose teeth but six of them needed root canal therapy because the nerve tissue died and got infected from the initial trauma.
